It was wonderful to be invited to take part in Edinburgh’s popular Spa in the City event this year, which took place in three venues, over two days. I was based in a marquee in the Grassmarket alongside some other fabulous local businesses, and our theme for the weekend was ‘Invigorate’.
I really enjoyed meeting the wide range of people who booked in to take part in my Style Coaching™ sessions, and had a good mix of one-to-ones and small groups of ladies.
As we’ve reached that time of the year when we need to be preparing our wardrobes for the spring/summer weather, I thought it would be the ideal time to offer some sessions on how to introduce more colour into your clothes to invigorate your wardrobe and boost your confidence.
Colour plays such an important part in your personal style. It allows you to express your personality and creativity, and when used wisely you can really enhance your appearance and your confidence. Clever use of colour can make you look taller, slimmer, younger and healthier. And not only that, colour is often deemed to have particular healing and restorative qualities, so you can also use colour to enhance your mood, and help you to feel energized.
A few of the independent boutiques from the Grassmarket area very kindly loaned me some of their gorgeous clothes and accessories so that I could illustrate some of the many ways to add colour into your outfits.

These are just a few examples of the stylish, and affordable pieces they have to offer in case you are thinking about adding a splash of summer colour into your own wardrobe.
