Spa in the City

Spa in the City

It was wonderful to be invited to take part in Edinburgh’s popular Spa in the City this year.   The event took place in three venues, over two days.

I was based in a marquee in the Grassmarket alongside some other fabulous local businesses.  Our theme for the weekend was ‘Invigorate’.

I really enjoyed meeting the wide range of people who booked in to take part in my Style Coaching™ sessions.  There were a few people who had one-to-ones as well as  several small groups of ladies.

Colour as Therapy

We’ve reached that time of the year when we need to be preparing our wardrobes for the spring/summer weather.  I thought it would be the ideal time to offer some sessions on how to introduce more colour into your clothe. Adding colour is a great way to invigorate your wardrobe and boost your confidence.

Colour plays such an important part in your personal style. It allows you to express your personality and creativity, and when used wisely you can really enhance your appearance and your confidence. Clever use of colour can make you look taller, slimmer, younger and healthier. And not only that, colour is often deemed to have particular healing and restorative qualities.  This means that you can also use the colours you wear as a mood enhancer, and to help you to feel energized.

A few of the independent boutiques from the Grassmarket area very kindly loaned me some of their gorgeous clothes and accessories so that I could illustrate some of the many ways to add colour into your outfits.

These items below are just a few examples of the stylish and affordable pieces they have to offer.  In case you are thinking about adding a splash of summer colour into your own wardrobe.
